All-in-one pack including 1 reservoir (1.5 mL, 15 mL, 50 mL, 100 mL with 2 or 4 ports) and the following options:

  • Compatible 1/4"-28 to 1/16" OD and 3/32" ID fittings
  • 1/16" OD x 1/32" ID Teflon tubing (10 m)
  • 4 mm OD x 2.5 mm ID pneumatic polyurethane tubing (25 m)

Applications 

Our microfluidic caps are fully compatible with original Corning Falcon™ tubes (15 mL, 50 mL), Eppendorf® tubes (1.5 mL) and standard glass bottles (100 mL). These tube caps are easily autoclavable and never come in contact with liquids. So you can re-use them for as long as you wish, without any risk of sample contamination.

 Setup

These microfluidic reservoirs are intended to be used with a pressure source, pressurizing the reservoir and forcing the liquid through microfluidic tubing and into the microfluidic system, illustrated in the schematic below.

Safety warning

Working with systems under pressure above atmospheric pressure presents a safety risk, especially when working with hazardous liquids and gases.

Darwin microfluidics cannot guarantee the strength of the provided reservoirs beyond atmospheric due to the nature of their material, transportation, and end-user handling methods.  It is thus the responsibility of the end-user to take necessary precautions to ensure their safety, including careful handling and operation and wearing personal protective equipment. 

    The 1.5 mL, 15 mL, 50 mL and 100 mL packs are available in 2-port or 4-port version with the following options.

    1.5 mL Eppendorf:

    • (1x) 1.5 mL Eppendorf tube microfluidic adapter with two 1/4"-28 threaded ports.
    • (4x) 1.5 mL Eppendorf tubes

     

    15 mL Falcon:

    • (1x) 15 mL tube microfluidic adapter with two or four 1/4"-28 threaded ports.
    • (4x) 15 mL BD falcon tubes
    • (1x) individual 15 mL BD Falcon rack
    • (For 4-port version : (2x) Delrin 1/4"-28 plugs for unused ports if needed)

     

    50 mL Falcon:

    • (1x) 50 mL tube microfluidic adapter with two or four 1/4"-28 threaded ports.
    • (2x) 50 mL BD falcon tubes
    • (1x) individual 50 mL BD Falcon rack
    • (For 4-port version : (2x) Delrin 1/4"-28 plugs for unused ports if needed)

     

    100 mL standard glass bottle:

    • (1x) 100 mL tube microfluidic adapter with two or four 1/4"-28 threaded ports.
    • (1x) 100 mL glass bottle
    • (For 4-port version : (2x) Delrin 1/4"-28 plugs for unused ports if needed)

     

    Optional:

    • (1x) 1/4"-28 to 1/16" OD fittings kit: includes 10x Teflon end fittings with 1/4"-28 thread + ferrules for 1/16" OD, 10x 1/4"-28 to 3/32" OD barb
    • (1x) 1/16" OD x 1/32" ID Teflon tubing (10 m)
    • (1x) 4 mm OD x 2.5 mm ID pneumatic polyurethane tubing (25 m)

    Shipping

    The shipping charges are calculated based on the weight of the package and on the country of destination. We try to offer you the best shipping rates and services, shipping all our orders through UPS. Generally, your order reaches your lab in only 2 to 3 days after we send it, no matter the destination!
