Features

  • Dispensing volumes as low as 1 nL thanks to a solenoid dispensing valve and ceramic tip.
  • High speed operation of up to 100 drops per second with the short opening time of the solenoid valve (100s of microseconds).
  • Extremely long lifetime due to no friction parts. No need to replacement seals and other wear materials.
  • Integrated pressure sensor for clog and leak detection, air in fluid line detection, pump pre-pressurizing, and automated monitoring of pressure stabilization during pre-dispensing.
  • Can be operated in bulk and aspiration modes.
  • Controlled using the included programmable software, equipped with an automated priming function and status monitoring 
  • PMB pump is available in two models that are differentiated by dispensing volume range. The PMB150Se can dispense from single nanoliters to 150 μl and the PMB1500Se has a dispensing range from 10 nl to 1500 μl.
  • Optional drop verification camera for quality inspection: to verify that drop is well formed in the pre-dispensing stage before dispensing on the target and to monitor liquid clogging at the dispensing tip. It can also be used to detect satellite drops (these being unwanted drops additional to the one drop).  Backlight and mount included.

The PMB Principle

The Piezo Motor Bellows (PMB) pump was developed for accurate and repeatable non-contact dispensing of nanoliter range volumes. The principle behind the Ginolis PMB pump is a highly accurate piezo motor that is connected to a bellows which is contracted and expanded with the motor. In doing so, the bellows displaces a volume in a closed chamber which is equal to the aspirated or dispensed volume.

Applications

  • Six different reagents (antibodies, antigens) dispensed by six pumps onto a glass slide – drop size 1.0 nL to 5 nL.
DNA handling
  • Dispensing into a microfluidic cassette – drop size 40 nL.
Protein handling
  • Dispensing onto plastic substrates – drop size 2.0 nL and up.
