Bartels mp6 series micropumps are a revolution in the field of microfluidics. Capable of transporting a very small quantity of liquid or gas, the micropumps of the mp6 series are characterised by the combination of 2 piezo actuators in a ultra-compact unit and very light weight.
Available in different versions (mp6-liq, mp6-gas, mp6-gas+), you are sure to find the right mp6 micropump for your application.
General
With an ultra-simple design and construction, these mp6 micropumps can perform a wide range of tasks, including moving diagnostic samples through a microfluidic device, dosing lubricants, supplying sensors with a gas sample, mixing solutions, and much more.
- Wide range of mp6 micropumps for liquids & gases (mp6-liq), and gases (mp6-gas, mp6-gas+)
- Flow rates from 8 µL/min up to 8 mL/min
- Ultra-compact (30 x 15 x 3.8 mm) and light (2 g only)
- Good temperature resistance
- Almost entirely made of plastic, various wetted materials for a wide chemical compatibility
Note: The mp6-hyb is now called mp6-liq, the old version of the mp6-liq is now discontinued.
Principle
Bartels micropumps are based on a piezoelectric diaphragm in combination with passive check valves. When applying voltage, a piezo ceramic mounted on a coated brass membrane is deformed, and the medium is being displaced out of the pump chamber below.
mp6 micropumps
The flow rate of the pumps shows a linear dependency on the back pressure. At 0 mbar back pressure the maximum pump rate can be achieved and at the maximum back pressure the flow rate is decreased to 0 mL/min. The relation of pressure and flow rate is linear.
The typical lifetime of the pumps is 5000 h.
We recommend the mp6-liq for most applications, as it is the most versatile and cost-effective micropump.
mp6-liq: for liquids and gases, flow range 6000-8000 µL/min
mp6-gas, mp6-gas+: for gases, flow range 12000-40000 µL/min
