Privacy policy

This privacy policy defines and informs users of the website (hereinafter the “Website”) of how Darwin Microfluidics, a simplified joint-stock company registered under number 832 305 965, whose registered office is 172 rue de Charonne, (F)75011 Paris (hereinafter the "Company”) uses and protects the information they provide while using the Website.

This privacy policy may be modified or supplemented at any time by the Company. It is thus recommended to read it regularly.

By using the Website, users of the Website expressly agree to the terms of this privacy policy and acknowledge that they have read and understood it perfectly.

1. Data collection

The Company collects personal data when a user registers on the Website. The information collected includes user’s name, e-mail address and telephone number.

In addition, the Company automatically receives and records information from user’s connection terminal and browser, including their IP address, when they connect to the Website.

The Company keeps this data only for the time corresponding to the purpose of the collection as indicated in article 2 below.

2. Use of the data

The collected data may be used to:

  • Allow the validation and execution of orders on the Website
  • Personalize user’s experience on the Website and meet user’s individual needs

This processing is necessary for the performance of the Company's contractual obligations and is based on its legitimate interest in providing users with relevant contents and features.

In particular, the Company uses state-of-the-art encryption to protect sensitive information transmitted online. The Company also protects user’s information offline. Only employees who need to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) have access to personally identifiable information.

The Company ensures that any service provider or subcontractor that it may call upon in the context of the collection and processing of user’s personal data provides adequate guarantees in terms of data protection.

The computers and servers used to store user’s personal data are kept in a secure environment.

5. Right of access, rectification and opposition

User has a right of access, limitation, rectification and opposition to the use of their personal data transmitted to the Website.

Given the Company's obligation of security and confidentiality in the processing of personal data, any request must be accompanied by a photocopy or a scan of user’s identity document (identity card, passport , driver's license).

The Company undertakes to respond any request within a maximum period of one month following receipt thereof.

6. Use of cookies

When user connects to the Website, the Company may proceed to the implementation of a “cookie” on the hard drive of their terminal in order to guarantee a smooth and optimal navigation on the Website. “Cookies” make it possible to recognize user’s computer, tablet or mobile for the purpose of personalizing the services offered through the Website.

To that end, a banner is displayed at the bottom of the screen when user connects to the Website. 

User may refuse the implementation of cookies on their terminal at any time by configuring their internet browser. However in such case, the Company cannot guarantee the optimal functioning of the Website, which the user expressly acknowledges. The Company may thus not be held liable for any and all consequence resulting from that choice.

The information collected by means of cookies does not in any way allow to identify users by name and is only intended to help the Company improve the performance of the Website.

In accordance with the recommendations of the CNIL, the cookies strictly necessary for the smooth operation of the Website are not subject to any prior approval on your part. On the other hand, your express agreement is required prior to the use of cookies issued by third parties, which are subject to the confidentiality policies of the latter, which can be consulted on their own websites.
