Plasma Cleaners

We use these plasma cleaners primarily to bond PDMS to glass slides and clean substrates before lithography. You just need a rough vacuum around 0.1 to 0.2 mbar and some room air or oxygen to get that bright pink glow and permanently seal your microfluidic chips.

The main catch is that PDMS surface activation is temporary, meaning you have about ten minutes to press your pieces together before they revert to being hydrophobic. If you are struggling to get a stable plasma or need advice on picking a compatible vacuum pump, just shoot me an email.
