A compact microfluidic solenoid valve combining an internal volume of only 5 µL (incl. connectors), small dimensions and quiet switching with a response time of only 1 ms, for almost zero unused fluid and a reduced chance of contamination.
A separating diaphragm between the fluid and actuator gives maximum chemical resistance, making this valve a premium for a wide range of laboratory, medical and analysis applications.
Comes in a 2-way normally closed valve setup, with an optional 1/4-28 UNF manifold for easier connection.

Low Heat Transfer to the Medium

Microvalve Dosing Principles
There are several dosing principles in microfluidics with which these microvalves can be very effectively implemented. The following schematics outline the two most common dosing principles: time-pressure dosing and syringe pump dosing.
Time pressure dosing operates by using a pressure source to pressurize a fluid tank or reservoir. The medium is then carried through a microvalve to a dosing needle with parameters such as tank pressure, flow resistance, medium viscosity and temperature being controlled. The flow of medium can be controlled by simply controlling the amount of time for which the microvalve is open. This dosing method is highly accurate and repeatable, and as the medium is driven by air pressure instead of a pumping mechanism, it does away with mechanical parts in the fluid stream and can contribute to system longevity.
Syringe Pump Dosing
A simple 2/2-way microvalve can be used to facilitate air isolated syringe pump dosing, in which the dispensed fluid comes into contact with only the dispensing tip, not the microvalve or pumping mechanism, as shown in the schematic below. This can be an important method in applications needing to highly control the risk of contamination.
