The Fluidic 1090 Fiber Sensor Chip manufactured by ChipShop features rhombic chambers associated with sensor ports to monitor chemical or biological reactions. The inlets and outlets with integrated mini Luer connections ensure leak-free junctions to the tubing.
General
This chip displays 3 rhombic chambers, with sensor ports before and/or after the chambers to allow monitoring of chemical or biological parameters. The chambers have an internal volume of 10 µL.
The central design features one chamber in between two sensor ports, while the two outer designs are made of one chamber and one sensor port.
The sensor ports are compatible with PreSens Sensor Plugs, which consist of a Mini Luer interface, an optical fiber for read-out and a specific sensor at the tip of the fiber. The sensors are pre-calibrated and can be adapted directly on the microfluidic channels, to get in direct contact with the fluid pathway. This allows continuous monitors of various parameters like pH levels, and dissolved O2 and CO2 concentrations.
If some sensor ports are not used for an experiment, it is recommended to close them with Mini Luer plugs or caps in TPE.
Note: The SensorPlugs are not provided with the chips.
