Specifically designed for peristaltic pumps, this damper reduces flow pulsation in microfluidic systems.
Available for general use or for corrosive chemicals and for different tubing sizes.
General
Use this damper to smooth out flow rate oscilations generated by peristaltic pumps and other flow control systems. This device effectively suppresses pulsations and improves flow rate accuracy. Its pulsation suppression rate can reach more than 95%.
Compatible with different soft-walled tubing sizes from 0.8 to 9.6 mm ID, two models are available:
- General type damper made for regular use with non-corrosive solvants,
- Industrial type damper to resist harsh chemicals and higher temperatures.
Simply connect the output side of your peristaltic pump to the damper and obtain a smooth flow rate from its output. Follow the instructions below for reliable efficiency.
- The tubing diameter of the output end should be smaller than that of the input end.
- The length of output tubing shall be more than 30 cm.
- The fluid level at the outlet port shall be higher than that of the damper itself.
