FluoSurf is an emulsion stabilizer in fluorinated oil specifically formulated for droplet-based microfluidic applications, such as single-cell analysis. Biocompatible, it is highly stable even with pH or temperature variations, allowing to produce reproducible droplets.
FluoSurf surfactant comes diluted in HFE 7500 fluorinated oil, commonly used for aqueous droplet generation in microfluidics.
Available in bottles of 10 mL or 50 mL, with a concentration of 2 w/w % or 5 w/w %.

Formulated for droplet-based microfluidics

 FluoSurf was formulated for microfluidic applications involving droplets. Its properties allow to use it in demanding applications where biocompatibility and stability are key requirements (PCR, encapsulation...).

The ambiphilic properties of FluoSurf surfactant stabilize the interface between aqueous droplets and oil to generate reproducible droplets with a high monodispersity, avoiding leaks and coalescence.

Each bottle contains FluoSurf at a concentration of 2 w/w % or 5 w/w % in HFE 7500, one of the most commonly used fluorinated oils for droplet generation.

Great Surfactant for Droplet Production

I used this surfactant for hydrogel beads production in a flow focusing PDMS chip. The surfactant is really efficient (used at 0.5% concentration in HFE), I could produce and crosslink monodispersed hydrogel beads other a long period of time without huge coalescence.
Vincent had great advices and suggestions on this product and its use.
