The CO2-1 SMA is a compact carbon dioxide meter that can be used with PreSens CO2 SensorPlugs. It offers temperature compensation for precise pH measurements. This meter is USB-powered and can be operated with the PreSens Measurement Studio 2 software.
General
This single-channel CO2 meter is small and lightweight for easy integration in many applications. It is compatible with CD1 sensors from PreSens (measurement range 1 - 25% CO2), including SensorPlugs for non-invasive measurements, without any risk of contamination. For use with the SensorPlugs, an SMA-ST Adapter is needed to interface the meter with the optic fiber and the SensorPlug.
The CO2-1 SMA meter offers temperature-compensated measurements to provide precise CO2 measurements even in an environment with changing temperatures (temperature sensor not included). It is USB-powered and is operated with the PreSens Measurement Studio 2 software, which can control several devices simultaneously.
The complete setup for PreSens technology includes a meter, a sensor, and relevant accessories including the optic fiber. These components can easily be integrated to any microfluidics and organ-on-chip experiments.
Optical sensors offer several advantages that render them particularly well-suited for controlling small sample volumes:
- They are small
- The signal does not depend on the flow rate of the sample
- They allow for non-invasive measurement
