The O2 SensorPlug has been specifically designed for non-invasive measurement of oxygen levels in millifluidic and microfluidic applications. With a Mini Luer interface, it can be easily integrated into microfluidic chips for online monitoring of O2. These sensors are sold in packs of 10 units.
General
In the SensorPlug, the optical oxygen sensor is attached to a Mini Luer plug, for easy integration in microfluidic chips via the corresponding Mini Luer port. This allows for non-invasive measurement of oxygen levels in millifluidic and microfluidic experiments, without any risk of contamination.
SensorPlugs are delivered beta-irradiated and pre-calibrated for immediate use. They can be combined with pH and CO2 SensorPlugs for more complete environment assessment and measurements can be controlled from one computer via the PreSens Measurement Studio 2 software.
The SensorPlugs can be integrated into fiber sensor integration chips and multi-organ platforms from ChipShop.
The complete setup for PreSens technology includes a meter, a sensor, and relevant accessories including the optic fiber. These components can easily be integrated into any microfluidics and organ-on-chip experiments.
Optical sensors offer several advantages that render them particularly well-suited for controlling small sample volumes:
- They are small
- The signal does not depend on the flow rate of the sample
- They allow for non-invasive measurement
