Description

Five different High Precision Pressure Sensors are available depending on the pressure range you want to measure (from 70 to 7,000 mbar). This flow-through sensor is perfect for gases and liquids and can be easily plugged (inline) into your microfluidic setup with 3/32" ID tubing or 10-32 fittings for 1/16" OD tubing.

2 packages are available:

  • The large package version (by default), for 3/32" ID Tubing

  • The small package version, for 1/16" OD tubing. This version has been optimized to remove the dead volume. Having low internal volume, it is a perfect choice for many microfluidic applications.

    Characteristics

    Sensor - Pression range
    • MPS0, ±70 mbar (1 psi)
    • MPS1, ±340 mbar (5 psi)
    • MPS2, ±1 bar (15 psi)
    • MPS3, ±2 bar (30 psi)
    • MPS4, ±7 bar (100 psi)
Accuracy Down to 0.2 % Full Scale
Internal volume 7.5 µL on small package version
Settling time 20 ms (when used with the Sensor Reader)
Ease to use The sensor requires no maintenance and it is easy to clean. It is compatible with gases and liquids (Limited only to media compatible with polyetherimide, silicon, and fluorosilicone seals)
Connection M8 electrical connection compatible with our Sensor Reader (click here to see it! It is sold separately)
    Power supply Vcc 11.5 - 15 V
    Typical current consumption 7 mA
    Sensor size
    • Large (length x width x height): 29 x 13 x 27 mm
    • Small (length x width x height): 40 x 33 x 19 mm
    Amplification module size length x width x height: 52 x 24 x 24 mm

    Working Principle

It measures the pressure of fluid media flowing through and it works as gauge pressure sensor by measuring the positive and negative pressure relatively to the atmospheric one.

The MPS High Precision Pressure Sensor can work in digital mode and it needs to be connected to the specific Sensor Reader (click here for more information). The Sensor Reader is sold separately and can manage up to 4 different sensors at the same time. Thanks to the integrated software you will able to record, store and analyse the data gathered by the sensor directly on your computer.

    Application

Create your complete microfluidic setup with the Microfluidic High Precision Pressure Sensor and the Sensor Reader. They are both compatible with several flow control instruments (syringe pump, peristaltic pump and pressure controllers). Our dedicated software and its user friendly interface allow you to control the data acquisition directly on your pc.

    SENSOR READER

Connect the Sensor Reader to your computer via USB and monitor the pressure by using the dedicated software

    PRESSURE SENSOR

Place the inline sensor anywhere you want on your fluidic path and electrically connect the sensor to your Sensor Reader.

    CHIP / CAPILLARY

Our sensor does not modify the fluid flow in your system.

Darwin Microfluidics being based in France, ships orders under Delivered At Place (DAP) incoterms. This means that for customers outside the European Union (EU), you are responsible for any applicable customs fees, duties, and taxes in addition to the shipping costs. These charges are determined by your local customs authority and must be paid by you upon the arrival of the shipment in your country.

We recommend contacting your local customs office for detailed information on these charges if you're ordering from outside the EU, as they can vary depending on the destination and the value of your order. Please note that these additional costs are not included in the shipping fees charged by Darwin Microfluidics.

Since Darwin Microfluidics sells exclusively to companies and institutions and is based in France, the VAT treatment for your orders depends on the location of your company or institution:

Within the EU (excluding France): For customers in other EU countries, the reverse charge mechanism applies. This means that VAT is not charged by us at the point of sale. Instead, it is your responsibility to account for the VAT at the standard rate applicable in your country under the reverse charge procedure. This process helps simplify cross-border transactions within the EU.

In France: For customers located in France, standard French VAT rates apply to all purchases. As a France-based company, we are required to charge VAT on sales to other French companies and institutions, which you can then reclaim according to local VAT procedures if applicable.

Outside the EU: For customers outside the European Union, sales are not subject to VAT by us. However, you may be subject to import duties, taxes, and charges that are not included in the item price or shipping cost. These charges are the buyer's responsibility and vary by country. We advise checking with your local customs office for more information.

Please ensure your VAT identification number is provided during the ordering process for EU transactions to qualify for the reverse charge mechanism. If you have any questions regarding VAT charges or need further assistance with VAT-related issues, please contact our customer service team.

We are unable to provide specific estimates for customs fees, duties, or taxes associated with your order. These charges are determined by the customs authority in your country and can vary based on a variety of factors, including the type of items purchased, their value, and the country to which they are being shipped.

We recommend contacting your local customs office directly to get the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding potential customs charges for your order. They can provide you with detailed guidelines on the fees you might expect to pay based on the products you're importing from us.

Please remember, these charges are the responsibility of the recipient and are not included in the shipping costs paid to Darwin Microfluidics.
